The Blendtec Total Blender Basic was reviewed by 153 different customers. It got very positive feedback from many of the reviewers. In fact, out of a possible 5 stars, it was able to earn 4 and a half stars.
Many people agree that this blender really does a great job of blending many types of stuff. I think it has something to do with the large motor and the blades. You can actually hear the power. One person said he was pleased with it, but he also said that it was loud. This one reviewer had heard about blending avocados with the pit still intact. Surprisingly, it blended not only the avocado, but the pit as well. The result was a finely pureed mousse-like pudding.
A few liked the fact that it was built in the US. Many noticed the quality was pretty good. Others liked that it works on the push of a button and that it doesn’t need to be supervised. The lifetime warranty on the blades is a great feature because if the blades do get messed up, it can be replaced at no extra cost. I guess this shows how much confidence they have in their blades.
The only complaint that I saw was that the motor was a little loud. If you do decide to get this model, just keep it in mind. One user had a good work around and used earmuffs. Maybe instead of earmuffs, use earplugs. This will help to protect your ears. Overall, a great product.
